NBA Finals 2017: Game 3 Odds, Predictions, TV Schedule And More For Warriors vs Cavaliers

Does Cleveland have enough to turn it around after two horrid performances? It’s tough to tell, but Jon Price of SportsInformationTraders.com has a lean on which side to back. He’s been kind enough to provide his complimentary analysis, and you won’t want to miss it—especially if you were a Cavs backer and are trying to dig yourself out of a hole for this series. Before getting to his take, let’s have a quick peek at the complete TV schedule, latest betting line and more for Game 3 of the 2017 NBA Finals.

Price’s Take: It’s not looking good for the Cleveland Cavaliers. This club has taken a beating over the first 96 minutes of the series and is running out of time to mount a comeback. With things being as lopsided as they are, the Cavs will need some sort of major event to break their way in order to change the destiny of this Finals.

Last year, Draymond Green’s suspension was the catalyst for a historic comeback. The probable MVP of the series—had the Warriors ended up winning—was forced to sit out a pivotal Game 5. This year, the vocal forward is doing a much better job controlling his emotions and recently stated that he learned a lot from his one-game suspension that ultimately cost his team a second-straight championship.

The way this Finals is currently going, it would be extremely unlikely for Green or any other Warrior to get suspended. The only other possible intervention that may give the Cavs a chance at beating this historically good opponent is a freak injury to one of its star players. Barring that unfortunate circumstance—and it isn’t wise to place a bet banking on injuries to occur—it appears that the combination of Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Green are far too much for the overmatched Cavaliers to handle.

Cleveland needs to take a hard look at the contributions that it is getting from some players that made an impact in last year’s Finals. J.R. Smith in particular has been a non-factor. The veteran guard has just three total points on .167 shooting in 42 minutes. It’s been so bad that head coach Tyronn Lue reportedly considered inserting backup guard Iman Shumpert into the starting lineup ahead of Smith, before backing off that idea in a statement on Tuesday
